BULLETIN B 02-18

TO: ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES TRANSACTING CONSUMER CREDIT INSURANCE IN THE STATE OF ALASKA AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES

RE: CONSUMER CREDIT INSURANCE REPORTING FORM

3 AAC 28.370(b) states in part: "Every three years beginning in 2003, an insurer writing consumer credit insurance in this state shall file with the director on or before May 1 a report of consumer credit insurance in this state for the three previous years, on a form prescribed by the director."

Included with this bulletin are the prescribed reporting forms that insurers must use to report the information required by 3 AAC 28.370. In order to comply with the reporting requirements, all insurers writing consumer credit insurance in Alaska must complete and file the forms with the division by May 1, 2003. The completed forms and a cover letter that complies with the cover letter requirements for a form filing prescribed in 3 AAC 31.220 should be mailed to:

Please verify before sending the completed forms to the division that the premium and claim data reported in the forms is consistent with the premium and claim data reported in the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Annual Statement Consumer Credit Insurance Exhibit for Alaska, as required by 3 AAC 28.370.
