Linda S. Hall

Linda Hall was appointed Director of the Division of Insurance in the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development in Alaska. She started in the position on March 3, 2003.

Director Hall is an 18 year resident of Alaska, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Hall has 18 years experience in the insurance industry as a commercial broker and served as the chair of the Alaska Workers Compensation Review and Advisory committee. Hall is a past president of the Alaska Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers and represented Alaska on the Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America from 1997 until 2003.

Director Hall is currently the Chair of the Western Zone of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), Chair of the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) Board of Directors and serves on the NAIC Internal Administration and Executive committees. In addition, Director Hall is active in many other committees and task forces, including the Producer Licensing Task Force, the Financial Condition (E) Committee, Chair of the Accreditation committee and participates on the Workers’ Compensation (C) Task Force. Prior to working in the insurance industry, Linda was a high school English teacher in Michigan.
