Community Revenue Sharing

The Community Revenue Sharing Program is one of the most important sources of non-locally generated operating revenue for Alaska’s communities. The Community Revenue Sharing Program annually provides Alaska’s boroughs, cities, and unincorporated communities with funds vital to the delivery of basic public services. Payments received by communities can be used at the discretion of the community for any public purpose as it is generally recognized that local residents are in the best position to determine the needs and priorities of their own communities. Eligible applicants are notified of the administrative requirements by February 1st. each year. The application deadline for this program is June 1st.
