Tanana Valley State Forest

The Tanana Valley State Forest consists of 1.81 million acres and lies almost entirely within the Tanana River Basin. Nearly 90 percent of the area (1.59 million acres) is forested, mainly with paper birch, quaking aspen, balsam popular, black spruce, white spruce, and tamarack.
